Assignment: create a fresh design for a conventional "condo" kitchen.

An architect asked if we could create a modern kitchen using the same footprint as a standard kitchen that had already been designed for 50 condo units.

Finish: cherry; frame and panel door/drawer faces.


Using our "Space" kitchen units, our goal was to make better use of space, to hide the microwave, and to create an updated look.

Our unique corner pantry optimizes use of otherwise dead, inside corners. By providing more storage, we could eliminate the "hat" cabinet above the refrigerator and still have a net gain in cubic volume. The full-height cabinet with a roll-up tambour provides ergonomic storage for the microwave as well as a coffee maker and toaster.

One wall of full-height cabinets and one of base cabinets achieved a more modern look.
